What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractor at work image Chiropractic is the art and science of removing any nerve interference from your system, thus allowing it to heal.

Your brain controls your body by sending messages up and down your spinal cord, which is protected by twenty-four small, moveable bones, called vertebrae.

Between every two vertebrae a nerve emerges and branches to muscles, organs like your heart or lungs, and skin.

If vertebrae misalign, the nerve energy is reduced and everything supplied by that nerve will not function as well.

Chiropractic doctors are trained to find and correct these misalignments called vertebral subluxations.

The correction is called adjustment.

Your chiropractor manually applies a quick, gentle pressure and repositions the vertebra.

This restores the nerve energy to your body and gives it a greater ability to return to its normal, healthy condition.
